Without notificton, there was no grace period, as no CS3 license owner would know that they had turned off the activation server, until they needed to reinstall it again, and very few customers would frequent these forums either until they have a problem. Adobe did realise that customers still use the software, because they did release the version that didn't need activation, which was available up until just a month or so ago, but many customers like me we never adobe creative suite 3 design premium windows 10 free of it's existence until they needed to reinstall it, and then find that their license can't be activated. If you depend on CS4 for your living, or for some other critical reason, and it works well for you on Windows 7, why do you want to install Windows 10? Adobe is clearly not supporting CS4 on Windows 10, which means it hasn't tested CS4 on Windows 10 and won't and isn't keeping it up to date with the changes to Windows.

If you run into a problem with CS4 on Windows 10, Adobe won't help you. That said, just because software is no longer supported doesn't necessarily mean you can't use it any longer. CS4 might work perfectly well for you on Windows Or it might not. And if it works well now, it may not work well after the next update. It's not my place to tell you what you should do.

If it was me, and my livelihood depended on CS4, I would leave it running on Windows 7. On the other hand, if my livelihood depended on it, I would be using Creative Cloud. In reply to LorraineDobson's post on September 1, In reply to Cnwl's post on September 1, Our school is rolling out Windows 10 next year without a lot of thought about the impact on software in our subject area: I'm trying to do their research for them.

Nice job, Andre. Thank you. It installed like a champ on Windows 10 with the exception of the same Flash error you got , and, by golly, the various programs work just like on my Windows 8.

Thanx again! Did you know CC is now supported on Chromebooks? That's nice your Adobe CS4 was working in , so was mine. I haven't been able to reinstall it since.

Just like software time bombs work. I even asked Adobe, which I knew they would say no, if they put a time bomb in their software in order to enforce upgrading. Up to the point in which the software stopped functioning I thought it was awesome.

But now, I wouldn't recommend Adobe products to anyone even my worst enemies!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone have experiences to report installing CS4 on Windows10 now that Windows7 is no longer being supported by Microsoft? This site in other languages x.
